What we do for you:

Our team of professional [and, in most cases, award-winning] reporters and writers will interview you and/or others, to help us write your story with quotes and facts.

How we do it:

Depending on where you live, we will either interview you in-person, or over the phone. Each interview can take anywhere between 30-to-60 minutes.

What happens next:

After interviewing you and/or others, your story's writer gets to work. S/He will write your 1,000-to-1,300-word story within one (1) week of the final interview. You will then receive a draft of the story to review. Once you approve the story, our production team readies the final version for you. 

What you receive:

  • A 1,000-to-1,300-word feature story, written about you or a loved one, about what YOU want it to be about -- be it one event, or a lifetime of events.

  • Your story will be written by a professional writer/reporter -- in many cases, a current or former newspaper reporter. [NOTE: Word-length of story dependent on writer's discretion, based upon topic and interviews].

MEDIA DISTRIBUTION

We will share your story with your hometown news media outlets, including print [newspaper/magazine] editors and writers, and broadcast reporters, directors and/or producers. Please note: Each media outlet is directly responsible for deciding whether to run/not run your story. We guarantee they will receive it. We cannot, however, guarantee press coverage.

COST: $185      ORDER NOW

  • Fee is based on Share My Story distributing your feature story to your hometown news media outlets via Cision media distribution service.

  • Media "pitch" included in cost.

  • Fee is in addition to SMS Basic Package.

  • Additional fee of $300 applies for those requesting regional and/or national media distribution.

ADVERTORIALS
 

An advertorial is a paid advertisement for a magazine or newspaper, written as a feature story. We will take your Share My Story feature story, negotiate ad placement on your behalf with the publication of your choice, design your Share My Story feature to the appropriate specs of the paid publication, and submit. Please note: A paid advertisement with a print publication is the only way to guarantee your story will be run.

COST: $185 plus Cost of Ad Space

  • Fee is based on Share My Story managing the paid advertorial process with respective media outlets, including all contact with publication ad representatives, price negotiation with publication, and advertorial design in sync to ad specifications.

PHOTOGRAPHY
 

Should you not have photos of your own to share for your story, we will send one of our photographers to you, to take current photos of you / the story's subject / the story's event -- whatever it is of yours that we are writing about. [NOTE: This service offered to Central Florida residents only.]

COST: $195       ORDER NOW

  • Fee is based on one (1) photo session for sole purpose of acquiring one-to-three photos for your story. 

  • Should photographer require more than 60 minutes, each additional half hour (30 minutes) is just $45.

  • Fee is in addition to SMS Basic Package.

  • Additional travel fees apply to those outside Orlando.

  • Photos will be taken with the purpose to be used for your "Share My Story" feature. Request for images are to be between client and photographer, should photographer agree, at possible additional cost [per photographer] to client.

EVENT PUBLIC & MEDIA RELATIONS, MARKETING, ADVERTISING, AND EVENT MANAGEMENT

OUR POLICIES, A.K.A. THE FINE PRINT

  • Fifty (50) percent payment of "Basic Package" is due upon initial order [$224.50].

  • Remaining balance of "Basic Package" [$224.50] will be due prior to client receiving first written draft of story.

  • Cancellation notice: "Share My Story" will refund your initial payment of $224.50 up until our team begins writing your story. We are unable to do so, however, once your assigned writer truly begins penning her/his story about/for you. 

  • Share My Story will write, edit, and design your story. However, sometimes, like even the best and most respected publications in the world, mistakes happen. Typos happen. Mis-spellings happen. We're human -- things happen!  We promise you that we will do our very best to ensure everything on our end is perfect, including a multiple-review process that includes YOU. [You, as the client, will have the final sign off/approval, prior to any document being printed/designed, etc.] Because of how much we involve you, the client, in our process -- including approval and editing -- we are not fiscally nor otherwise responsible for story errors/typos/mischaracterizations of subjects in the story. Remember, client approval includes the facts of the story, as well as possible errors.

  • Please keep in mind: Client approval means client approves of the written story, and client signs off on all facts, typos, etc.

  • Now, that being said, if we at Share My Story send you your professionally-designed PDF and hard-copy of your story [as part of every "Basic Package"] and there is a typo in there that you catch after the fact, simply let us know, and we will quickly send you a revised/corrected PDF and hard-copy, at no charge to you.  

  • However, if the error is not of a basic word or fact -- but, rather, is an error from your end, such as giving us the incorrect spelling of a name -- then we simply ask that you pay an additional $30 for us to reprint and then ship you your new hard-copy story.

  • As for our other services offered [Brochures/Handouts; Metal Prints; Media Distribution; Photography; and Share My Story events]:

  • Full payment of those said services is due upon initial order, prior to development/production/direction/implementation, etc. of work/respective services.

  • Re: our special reduced rates for non-profit organizations, educational institutions, assisted living/senior facilities and residences, AARP members, and current and former members of the military: As an appreciation for the women and men doing public service for our communities and country, we will offer a five (5) percent discount to Police, Fire Rescue, Military, EMTs, and teachers. Please simply email an image of your respective work ID when ordering your feature story.

  • 20 A-M Productions, LLC, and its companies, e.g. Share My Story and 20 A-M COMMUNICATIONS, reserve the right to refuse service.
